Treasure Island: The Pilot
Proverbial Champagne-corks were popping at East Saltoun primary school the other day after a very successful first performance of the latest Charades musical - an adaptation of Stevenson's classic novel, Treasure Island. Elphinstone teamed up with East Saltoun to put the show on, and both parties put in many hours of hard work in preparation to tell the tale of Jim Hawkin's adventures on the Hispaniola alongside Dr Trelawney and the notorious Long John Silver. Needless to say, the show was a great success - well done guys; Bravo!!

Treasure Island Pilot well underway
We at Charades HQ are very excited about the brand new show, a version of Treasure Island. For the first time we are having a collaboration between two schools for this performance - Elphinstone and East Saltoun Primaries are teaming up to tell the story of RL Stevenson's classic tale of pirating. We're visiting them this Wednesday to see how they're getting on!
Burke and Hare Return to East Lothian
Another three schools in East Lothian are taking part in 'Charades Productions' projects this term. Aberlady, Stoneyhill and Campie Primaries are all taking on the story of the infamous Edinburgh murderers. This coming week is music-support day week where we visit the schools and pull the show together after the casts have all learned all their words... Watch this space to see how it all goes.

Midlothian Primary Schools do a spine-tingling job of telling the tale of Burke and Hare
A very quick thank you to all five of the schools in Midlothian who took on the challenge of Burke and Hare. Each and every performance was of such a high standard we wonder whether everyone involved has already had extansive Musical Theatre training?! Hopefully we'll have some pictures etc to put up here before too long...

Burke and Hare take on East Lothian
A very quick note to say a MASSIVE thank you and well done to all the schools in East Lothian that have taken part in Charades Productions of Burke and Hare this term. All five performances were fantastic and the hard work and determination that went in from everyone involved was worth it ten times over. We have received lots of lovely thank you letters from lots of you and we're greatly appreciative of these. We'll hopefully get a few of them photographed and put up here shortly.

Dunbar primary, St Martin’s RC primary, Loretto RC primary, Windygoul primary
and St Gabriels RC primary will all be recounting the blood-thirsty tale of
